Abstract

A study was made of the diffraction by thermal dynamic gratings formed in organic liquids by radiation from a TEA CO2 laser under conditions of self-diffraction and reflection of this radiation in a degenerate four-wave interaction. The diffraction efficiency of gratings in benzene (at the wavelength of 0.63μ) reached 30% when the absorbed energy density was 60 mJ/cm2. The reflection coefficient for this interaction was 2% when the pump energy density was 0.7J/cm2.
