Abstract

Flavor-changing neutral scalar interactions are a standard feature of generic multi-Higgs models. These are constrained by mixing in the neutral meson systems. We consider situations where there are natural cancellations in such contributions. In particular, when the spin-0 particle has both scalar and pseudoscalar couplings, one may have a self-cancellation. We illustrate one such partial cancellation with Branco-Grimus-Lavoura models. We also inquire whether the flavor-changing quark interactions can lead to new production mechanisms for a neutral scalar at LHC.
