Abstract

A new type of BaMoO 4 spherical nanostructure consisting of numbers of nanosheets has been successfully synthesized through a very simple reflux method under microwave irradiation. Our result shows that the concentration of initial reagents and the reaction temperature played important roles in the formation of BaMoO 4 crystal with different morphology. The products were characterized by X-ray powder diffraction (XRD), Scanning electron microscope (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and electron diffraction (ED).
