Abstract
Qua role, patients in triadic-pediatric initial consultations have the epistemic authority over their complaints, yet, this does not affect their speech participation in these conversations. Further, parents frequently cite their opposition and reluctance to negotiated therapy plans in consultations as a reason for non-compliance. The self-representation and the self- and external-expression of the patients are analyzed in this article. This article presents sequences from the action scheme components of patients’ symptom descriptions and therapy planning as examples.
