Abstract

Nowadays, many objects are being promoted in the internet. Among them are pharmaceutical products intended for human use and/or consumption. Although the laws try to protect the consumer from potential fraudulent activities relating to those products, it is still not sufficient. To complement the legal standard, pharmaceutical business organizations are self-regulated. A set of best practices in advertising has been approved, and will benefit both the pharmaceutical industry itself and the potential buyer of drugs. However, an enchanting scenery is prevailing in the pharmaceutical sector in Spain. Key words: Drugs, self regulation, pharmaceutical industry, Internet, forgery, advertising.
