Abstract

The creation of coatings with high hydrophobic properties has now emerged as a separate area of modern materials science, since it is necessary to analyze the processes taking place in nanoscale systems, and, in particular, nanotechnologies open up fundamentally new possibilities for controlling the surface properties of materials. It is stated that the main requirement necessary for obtaining the superhydrophobic state of the surface of materials is to provide roughness of the surface and mechanical strength of the texture used for this. In addition, it is possible to use composite compositions, whereby it is possible not only to impart hydrophobicity to the surface texture, but also to chemically bind it to the surface ofthe substrate, thereby increasing the stability of the hydrophobic coating under operating conditions
