Abstract

A self-oscillatory strongly non-linear processes in a system with distributed striking element, namely a string positioned between two symmetrical stop blocks and excited by incoming from of liquid of gas, is studied. In this case, the excitation force depends on string speed and dissipation forces are compensated at each moment of time. The exact representation of standing waves that are trapezoidal in shape has been studied earlier. The stability of solutions is analyzed using a numeric procedure. The class of problems that can be solved with the help of the theory developed is defined.
