Abstract

The packet of electrostatic flute waves in a rotating bounded plasma cylinder is shown to be self-organized in the form of vortex satellites moving in the azimuthal direction with constant angular velocity. Their formation is favourable in terms of a minimum of the energy required due to the negativeness of the wave portion of the perturbation energy, and is self-sustained through dissipation processes.
