Abstract

The self-diffusion coefficients of dimethylsulfoxide (DMSO) and ethylene glycol (EG) are measured using spin-echo approach on protons in a wide concentration range of ethylene glycol DMSO solution in the temperature range 30°C–70°C. The activation energies of the corresponding self-diffusion processes are calculated. The results are discussed as interactions and structural changes in the system EG-DMSO and compared with similar results on the study of the EG - hexamethylphosphoric triamide (HMPA) system.
