Abstract

AbstractIn amorphous and cystallized Fe40Ni40P14B6 and amorphous Fe80B20 alloys the diffusion coefficient of iron is investigated using radiotracers and a microsectioning technique. The diffusion coefficient in Fe40Ni40P14B6 can be described by an Arrhenius relation according to D equals; D0 exp (−Q/kT) with D0 equals; 10 cm2/s, and Q equals; 2.0 eV. In Fe80B20 no diffusion could be observed.
