Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there is a relationship between self-control and extrovert personality with impulsive buying. The subjects in this study were online game players in Indonesia. Samples were taken using the purposive sampling technique and using table theory from Isaac & Michael in determining the number of samples and obtained 272 respondents. The analysis used is multiple linear regression and the results of the analysis show that there is a significant relationship between self-control and extrovert personality with impulsive buying in online game players. In addition, self-control and extrovert personality provide an effective contribution of 13.5% to impulsive buying and the remaining 86.5% is influenced by other factors that have not been studied by researchers. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat hubungan kontrol diri dan kepribadian ekstrovert dengan impulsive buying. Subjek dalam penelitian ini yaitu para pemain game online di indonesia. Sampel diambil dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling dan memakai teori tabel dari Isaac & Michael dalam menentukan jumlah sampel dan diperoleh 272 responden. Analisis yang digunakan yaitu regresi linier berganda dan dari hasil analisis tersebut menunjukkan bahwa adanya hubungan yang signifikan antara kontrol diri dan kepribadian ekstrovert dengan impulsive buying pada pemain game online. Selain itu Kontrol diri dan Kepribadian Ekstrovert memberikan sumbangan efektif sebesar 13.5 % terhadap Impulsive buying dan sisanya 86.5 % dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain yang belum diteliti oleh peneliti.
