Abstract
The propagation of nonlinear quasi-static waves along the surface of the plasma cylinder, the change in the shape of the boundary of which is caused by the appearance of a surface charge in the form of a corresponding wave process, is considered. Within the framework of the approximation, using the methods of the theory of "shallow water", and with the help of the formulas of the theory of potential a complete system of equations describing the self-consistent change in the surface of the plasma and the behavior of the quasi-static field of nonlinear waves was obtained. Based on the analysis of the derived solutions, the features of the main properties of the phenomenon under study were revealed. New forms of nonlinear waves of a surface charge have been investigated.
