Abstract
On the basis of the reduced second order self-consistent phonon approximation the dynamic and thermodynamic functions of rare-gas crystals are computed and compared with experimental and other theoretical data in the low and high temperature limits. The instability and critical parameters are calculated also. The system of self-consistent equations is solved for the Morse, Rydberg and Varshni models of interatomic interactions.
