Abstract
AbstractWe report on the surface modification of the channels of hollow‐core photonic bandgap fibres after deposition of free‐base porphyrins by self‐assembling monolayer (SAM) technique. Emission spectra studies of the modified fibres showed features typical for free‐base porphyrins deposited on glass plates. Fluorescence lifetime microscope (FLM) images demonstrate that all the holes of studied fibres are covered with porphyrin and show homogeneous distribution of its emission intensity and lifetime along the channels.
