Abstract
This paper is an attempt of appliance Hegel's aesthetic scheme to modern painting. Hegel's analysis of historical development of arts has been based upon principle of, so to say, self annulment of space. From architecture sculpture, painting, to music and poetry, Hegel recognizes principle of self annulment of space as key model of change an progress from material to spiritual. The author of this text has tried to analyze modern painting in the same terms, in Hegel's terms of self annulment of space, putting an emphasis upon what is alive today in Hegel's philosophy of art.
