Abstract

Collisional self-, N2-, H2-, and Ar-broadening and self-, H2-, and He-shifting parameters of HCN lines in the ν2band of HCN have been investigated in the spectral range 735–810 cm−1. Line broadenings were determined with a frequency-stabilized tunable diode laser spectrometer. Lineshifts were determined separately by monitoring the frequency of the diode laser, which was frequency-stabilized on the absorption peak of the studied line. Semiclassical calculations of self- and H2-induced broadenings and of self-induced shifts have been performed from the Robert–Bonamy formalism; the results are generally in satisfactory agreement with the experimental data.
