Abstract

In article number 1700884, Han Zhang and co-workers show that non-layered materials can be exfoliated into 2D nanosheets by a liquid phase exfoliation method. Importantly, the as-prepared 2D Se nanosheets exhibit excellent ultrashort pulse generation of an optical communication band. The cartoon rabbit on the cover has firm front teeth, which enables the foods with strong anisotropy between length and thickness directions to be thinned. The bread and carrot denote layered materials (such as graphite) and non-layered materials (such as bulk Se crystal), respectively. The rabbit's front teeth denote probe sonication in the liquid phase exfoliation process that is believed to be oriented in the vertical direction.
