Abstract

H+ and Al3+ exchanged bentonite catalysts were compared in a plug flow reactor with Amberlyst 15 for the production of t-amyl methyl ether, in the range of 80–220°C and 400 kPa. It was found that bentonites were more selective than resins when they were dried at 150°C.
