Unfortunately,some of these reagents suffer at least from one of thefollowing disadvantages; cost of preparation, instability,long reaction time, powerful oxidant without selectivity, anddangerous procedures for their preparation. On the otherhand, little attention has been paid to the oxidation proper-ties of manganates and only a few reports are available in theliterature.
