Abstract

This work presents a simple and effective strategy to prepare zeolite encapsulated Pt nanoparticles through one-pot method at high crystallization temperature. The obtained Pt@ZSM-48 combines the advantages of both highly active sites of Pt particle and controllable reactants diffusion of ZSM-48 miropores and exhibits high stability and catalytic activity even after calcination at 550 °C. The obtained Pt@ZSM-48 exhibited high activity for hydrogenation of 1,4-butynediol and high selectivity for 1,4-butenediol. After alkaline treatment, the diffusion obstruction of Pt@ZSM-48 can be greatly reduced, thereby increasing the conversion of 1,4-butynediol while maintaining high 1,4-butenediol selectivity. The diffusion obstruction and catalytic activity of Pt@ZSM-48 can be adjusted by post-treatment.
