Abstract
Carbon nanotubes was purified and purified compound was characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Carbon nanotubes/Tween-20 is used for the modification of carbon paste electrode (CPE). In the presence of potassium ferrocyanide the modified CPE showed a redox peak in 1M KCl solution as a supporting electrolyte. The modified CPE shows good electrocatalytic activity towards potassium ferrocyanide in 1M KCl solution. The modified electrode also shows good electrocatalytic activity towards dopamine (DA) in 0.1M phosphate buffer solution at pH 7.4 and the detection limit of DA was found to be 0.27μM.
