Abstract

The application of the catheter technic (1) to carotid angiography has simplified a selective (2) demonstration of the external and internal carotid circulation. The advantages of this method are : reduction in the number of intramural injections, greater mobility of the patient, and elimination of overlapping of the external and internal carotid circulation on the roentgenogram. The catheter is made of polyethylene tubing4 with an inner diameter of 0.045 inches and outer diameter of 0.065 inches. The catheter tip is preformed with a slight curve by heating...
