Abstract

ABSTRACTA chiral mandelic acid (MA) molecularly imprinted microsphere with magnetism was designed in this paper. Firstly, a Fe3O4 core was synthesized by a simple and classical solvot hermal method. Then the SiO2 shell was coated to the surface of Fe3O4 by a improved Stober method. Finally, dimethylaminoethyl methacrylate (DMAEMA) was graft-polymerized onto the surfaces of Fe3O4 @SiO2 microspheres, and the molecular imprinting was conducted with S-MA as template molecule. The results of ultraviolet (UV) spectroscopy detection indicated that the magnetic chiral molecular imprinting had good selectivity for S-Mandelic acid and its enantiomer.
