Abstract
Pakistan is a developing country with exponential power requirement and is currently facing financial and economic crises. This situation calls for increasing number of power projects those results in environmental pollution. The new trend in the world is for generating green energy. Waste heat recovery power plants are green energy producers as they replace fossil fuel based energy and in this paper a new idea is given that is selection of a Waste heat recovery power generation system, based on any methodology, on the basis of life cycle cost rather than maximum power generation. The life cycle cost of Waste heat recovery power generation system based on different methodologies are analyzed with their relevant cost of installations, costs of operation, maintenance costs, amount generated by Profit, project pay back as per internal rate of return and on the basis of analysis, best system is considered as per requirements of our system.
