Abstract

A method for multi-resolution wavelet filtration of distal arterial pulse in the presence of motion artifacts is described. The effect of the selected wavelet filtration parameters using multi- resolution transforms on the distortion of the filtered signal in the signal-to-noise ratio range is discussed. Optimal parameters of wavelet filtration of biological signal are defined using the criterion of minimal signal distortion after filtration by comparison with a model signal free of motion artifacts.
