Sisli Etfal Egitim ve Arastirma Hastanesi 2. Ortopedi ve Travmatoloji Klinigi Objectives: This study sought to determine the most approapriate osteosynthesis material in the treatment of adult forearm fractures. Methods: A total of 55 patients (46 males, 9 females; mean age 31.5 years) underwent surgery for adult forearm fractures. According to AO/ASIF classification, most were type A3 fractures (56.3%). Results: The union rates were 94.5% and 96.4% for radius ulna, respectively. According to Anderson’s criteria, results were excellent in 39 cases (70.9%), satisfactory in nine cases (16.4%), unsatisfactory in five cases (9.1%), and poor in two cases (3.6%).
