Selection of an efficient type of unit for drying and degassing of polyvinyl chloride

Abstract

Suspension polyvinyl chloride (PVC) is one of a number of polymers being used on a large scale. In this connection, the problem of protection of the environment from vinyl chloride (VC), which is contained in the heat-transfer agent discharged into the atmosphere after the drying units, becomes increasingly urgent. At the same time, it should be kept in mind that a reduction in content of VC in PVC increases the quality of the finished product.
