Abstract

Forty-five experimental cotton lines and 2 commercial varieties were evaluated for antibiosis to the boll weevil as measured by percent emergence of adult weevils from squares with oviposition punctures. Range of percent emergence was from 15.3 to 59.2 and differences were highly significant. Percent emergence was not correlated with number of squares with oviposition punctures or with weight of squares.
