Abstract
To suppress the inrush current during the start of the rectifier circuit, the use of soft-start resistance is a conventional method, but the selection of its parameters lacks theoretical guidance. For the three-phase bridge uncontrollable rectifier circuit, combined with EAST (experimental advanced superconducting tokamak) fast control power supply, this paper analyzes the start-up process using soft-start resistance in detail and describes a selection method of soft-start resistance based on the resistance value and rated power. On the premise of maximizing the power density and ensuring the safety of the resistance, the soft-start process of the circuit has an appropriate start-up time and a lower inrush current. Simulations and experiments show that the soft-start resistance meets the selection requirements.
