Abstract

A dependence of the distance between the rolls on the radis of the roll, the thickness of the processed material, and the coefficient (angle) of friction of the processed material on the surface of the roll coating were theoretically studied. An experimental study revealed the dependence of the distance between the rolls on the intensity of the load, the radius of the roll, and the thickness of the material being processed. It was found that with an increase in the roll radius and load intensity, and with a decrease in the thickness of the material being processed, the distance between the rolls decreases.
