Abstract

SynopsisLow seed dormancy of green needlegrass was transmitted from parent to progeny. In addition, dormancy was greatly influenced by environment and interactions of genotype and environment. Stage of seed maturity at harvest was particularly important. The mechanism conditioning reduced dormancy was expressed in both immature and mature seed.
