Abstract

This article proposes key considerations for high school physical education teachers when selecting curriculum content. Specifically, recommendations are provided relative to the school’s geographical context, available programs and opportunities within the community, the school’s resources and administrative support, and the learners and their interests. Additionally, some resources are presented to assist teachers in the decision-making process of content selection. Teachers’ decisions on what to teach have significant implications on students’ learning, interests, and attitudes toward physical education.
