Abstract

The article presents a selection procedure for the components selection of a bidirectional DC-DC. The converter is used to implement energy storage system as part of a photovoltaic power supply system. The storage system provides energy balance and smooth voltage oscillations in the power supply system's DC link via controlling energy flows. The considered approach can be used in photovoltaic and electric vehicles and electric drives applications. The paper includes a description of power components selection based on physical properties and power supply system requirements. Besides, an economic analysis of components as a part of power supply system is considered.
