Abstract

This research highlights the methodical aspects of planning the operation modes for a technological section in the main oil pipeline, taking into account optimization in terms of the electricity and power costs. The theoretical value of the research is based on the consolidated data and on the reviewed operation mode planning for the technological section in the main pipeline as well as on the optimized calculation of schedules for the pumping operation modes. The solutions for selecting the operation modes are outlined resting upon the concept of reduced peak-load power consumption. The suggested approach allows to optimize and adapt the operation mode schedules to further modifications and extensions in the technological section.
