Abstract

The use of laser radiation in alloying the surface layer of metals is a new and fast developing method for the laser treatment of surfaces. Lasers of a different concentration of alloying material can be obtained by alloying with a pulsed laser. The paper presents the results of studies on the effect of various factors (pulse duration τ i, pulse energy E i, coverage coefficient) on basic parameters of alloyed layers in tungsten, molybdenum and nickel (electrical conductivity, resistance to erosion in an electric arc).
