Abstract
Objective To explore the Select of surgical operation approach and analysis of therapeutic effect on the tumors of the third ventricle. Methods Eleven patients with tumors of third ventricle were microsurgical operated via different approachs, and two patients with vesicle of third ventricle were extirpated by endoscope. Results Six patients were total resected under microscope, three patients were subtotal resected, and two patients were partial resected. One patient with germ cell tumor was performed ventricle-pertoneal shunt and received radiotherapy after operation. Conclusion The microsurgical approach is one of the best choices for the removal of tumors in third ventricle region.Endoscope can cure for vesicle disease in third ventricle. It could protect the most important tissue beside the third ventricle and reduced the postoperative complications. Key words: Third ventricle; Tumor; Microoperation
