Abstract
From the numerous publications of the last year in the field of cardiac arrhythmias, we have made a selection of the most relevant. Hot topics such as opportunistic screening for atrial fibrillation, new developments in the indications and type of pulmonary vein isolation procedures are included. In the field of ventricular arrhythmias, some publications on pharmacological treatment are discussed and the message of ablation as the most effective strategy for the treatment of monomorphic ventricular tachycardias is reinforced. New developments in left bundle branch area pacing are being reported in the field of cardiac pacing, although the evidence is not yet strong in the form of large randomized studies.
