Abstract

The main purpose of this research is to survey seismic performance of equipment. It discusses and provides a theoretical seismic model through the response spectrum method. With this seismic model, maximum equivalent stress, directional deformation and reaction force of fixed supports under seismic excitation are calculated by simulation. The results indicate that the maximum equivalent stress is no more than 8.3 MPa, and the maximum directional deformation is no more than 2.6 mm. From these results we can also see that the structure of external bypass can meet anti-seismic requirements. The research has resulted in a solution for seismic analysis and design of large electrical equipment.
