Abstract

Considering the respective advantages and limitations of steel jacket reinforcement technology and CFRP reinforcement technology, this paper proposes a method to strengthen concrete columns with a combination of CFRP and steel jacket. The low cyclic loading test was carried out by finite element simulation. The influence of axial compression ratio, carbon fibre cloth dosage and steel jacket strength on the seismic performance of composite reinforced concrete column with CFRP and steel jacket are analyzed. The research shows that The strength of steel jacket has a decisive influence on increasing the load-bearing capacity of specimens. with the increase of axial compression ratio, the ultimate bearing capacity of reinforced concrete columns decreases. The CFRP can protect the steel jacket from corrosion, and work together to be good for seismic reinforcement of reinforced concrete columns.
