Abstract

This article focuses mainly on the border region between Argentina, Brazil and Paraguay and will address on national security, having the Brazilian Army as the main instrument of organization and control, repressing the illegalities that permeate the region. National sovereignty implies maintaining the geopolitical nation State domain. The triple frontier according to dynamic triggers a series of problems requiring special attention of the Brazilian Government in the formulation of strategies, aiming at the integrity of the territory and society. The presence of the Brazilian Army in Foz do Iguacu since the military colony in 1889, until the present day, represented by the 34th Mechanized Infantry Battalion, is strategically coordinated by the Government aiming to the territorial domain, in addition to performing activities that make it possible to eliminate the vulnerability of the border, and so keep the diplomacy between the neighbors, Argentina and Paraguay, avoiding possible conflicts both among countries and among population. In the methodology we used bibliographical research, addressing the topic, in which several authors contextualize the story and reports about the military colony, the Brazilian Army, and strategies that are developed for regi: Borders, National Security, Brazilian Army.
