Abstract

With the rapid development of China's national economy, the demand for electric energy is increasing, and the power system is facing more and more stability problems. Electrical systems require more detailed modeling of the grid, especially the development and use of more realistic load models. Accurate modeling of load plays an important role in the operation of the power grid, such as in microgrid, distributed power needs to flexibly adjust the active output of each micropower supply according to load, so that supply and demand are balanced. When the voltage or frequency of the system changes significantly, the composition of the load changes greatly, such as lots of cooling loads occur during peak tropical summer months, and the characteristics of the load also change, if the overall load is always described by a model of structure and fixed parameters, which is obviously inaccurate. In this paper, the variable structure characteristics of load and its causes are studied, and proposes the corresponding modeling method. Through the analysis of the existing static model, a new variable structure model is proposed, and the load data is used for verification and analysis, and the advantages of the segmented load model over the traditional static load model are obtained.
