Abstract

Orientational dynamics in a homogeneous diblock copolymer of polystyrene (PS) and poly(methylphenylsiloxane) (PMPS) with PS composition f PS=0.58 and a single but very broad glass transition temperature T g=303±45 K have been studied by photon correlation (PCS) and dielectric (DS) spectroscopy over the broad temperature range from 273 to 373 K. Two distinct primary relaxation processes associated with the PS-like and PMPS-like segmental dynamics can be resolved by PCS and DS techniques. The corresponding distributions of relaxation times exhibit a broad shape with temperature-dependent breadths.
