Abstract

Direct appositional suture closure after total resection of a large congenital pigmented nevus can result in a dog-ear deformity. Alternatively, serial, staged, sequential excisions can be used, but the process is both time consuming and tedious. Avoiding a long scar and obviating the need for repeated operations remain important goals.
