Abstract
In its continuing effort in support of science education, SEG provided recognition and encouragement, as a Special Awards sponsoring organization, to outstanding high school students who participated in the 47th International Science and Engineering Fair in Tucson, Arizona 5–11 May 1996. SEG was joined by more than 50 industrial, professional, and government scientific and engineering organizations. Almost $1000 000 in awards and prizes was presented.
