Abstract

A consultant's view on the mistruths in enterprise resource planning implementations is given. Factors for successful ERP implementation are outlined. Basically, ERP implementation problems are the result of a combination of a lack of understanding and application of the basics, and more than anything else, people. Cases of successful MRPII implementations, as well as unsuccessful ones, are discussed.
