Abstract
A Digital Twin is a dynamic digital representation of a device, consumer or process and indicates an accurate current and predicted future status and components. Digital Twins are mainly based on sensor information collected from the real physical system, mostly from Internet of Things (IoT) Data. The Twin tries to predict and improve the system behavior and, for instance, the required maintenance actions during lifetime. Knowledge Graphs are a backbone of many information systems that require access to structured knowledge, be it domain-specific or domain- independent. Hence, Knowledge Graphs could be the perfect cornerstone for Digital Twins. In this paper, we present SEDIT, a first approach towards a Semantic Digital Twin based on IoT Data Management and Knowledge Graphs.
