Abstract
The sedimentation models for the upper part of the Tyumen Formation (the J2–3 productive layers) and the Abalak Formation (J12 and J11) were constructed on the basis of data from lithological studies of Jurassic stratum cores (the Potanai oilfield in the northeast Shaim megaswell). The models show that the sedimentation environment sequentially changed from the continental to the deltaic, lagoonal, and shelf types through the Middle and Late Jurassic.
