Sedimentary Facies of Prograded-type Fan Delta Huangjue Area, Gaoyou Sag, China

Abstract

Huangjue area was very affected during the Dainan formation's sedimentation. Thanks to the Wubao movement, the faults in the south of this area are active when the level of the lake is rising. Debris from the south slope flowed into deep water and formed the prograded-type fan delta. Middle and distal zones are the main sedimentary facies. And it can be divided into four microfacies including braided stream, interchannel, mid-fan front, and downfan sheet stone. The gravel is relatively small, and feldspar-detritus sand stone is the main deposition abundant in bedding structure.
