Abstract
AbstractThe particulate phase of lake sediments showed a marked reduction in the concentration of N, P, K and C during late spring and summer. Larger amounts of these elements were found towards the autumn, and these higher levels were maintained through winter until early spring. The reduction in the concentration of these mineral nutrients was greatest during the growing season of the macrophytes.
