Abstract
SUMMARY Fallow deer were fed Diazepam (Valium, Roche Products Ltd, Welwyn Garden City, Herts.) to produce sedation, under laboratory and field conditions. Doses of 28 to 38 mg/kg bodyweight permitted handling, but higher dose levels were required under field conditions. No serious side-effects were noted.
